Maximum length for females from Ref. 101701. Deep-water species. Found in slope (Ref. 104152). Known from benthic muddy bottoms (Ref. 83922). Mainly feeds on the pelagic red crab Pleuroncodes planipes. Secondary prey include benthopelagic and bathypelagic fishes and shrimp-like decapods (Ref. 107053).
