Maximum depth possibly to 2,217 m (Ref. 85191). Burrows in wood and often scaphopod shells (Ref. 85191). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
