Diagnosis | Colony consisting of stolonal hydrothecae and nematothecae irregularly distributed on the substratum. Hydrotheca long and thin, approximately cylindrical, but frequently bending; without pedicel, but slightly narrowing at basal part. Hydrotheca with an operculum composed of ca 12 triangular flaps; apparently with slight delimitation between hydrotheca and opercular flaps. Nematothecae present, though much smaller than hydrothecae. Nematotheca long and thin and with a tiny and distal, circular aperture. |
