Definition of Term

pre-oral cleft
(english) Small, retractable appendages on each side just forward of the pelvic fins of mature male chimaeroid fishes; concealed within a slit when retracted; also known as prepelvic tentacula. (See also: oral, pelvic fins, chimaeras)
