Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 100 m
Distribution:  North Atlantic and North Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Meroplanktonic (Ref. 120471). Inhabits near the surface nearshore, on the shelf (Ref. 1663). Found on Zostera, subtidal rock and crab carapace; abundant in the spring to autumn; feeds on invertebrate eggs and larvae, appendicularians and small hydromedusae (Ref. 2376). Found in coastal waters (Ref. 64386).
