Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Trophic level 2.3 (Ref. 96418). Found to inhabit kelp (Laminaria digitata) forest (Ref. 96418). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
