Family:  Glycymerididae (bittersweet clams)
Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from East Africa to Japan, Indonesia, Palau Islands and Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  In sand and gravel or coral sand bottoms. Littoral to a depth of 20 m (Ref. 348).
