Distribution:  Western Atlantic, Southern Pacific and the Mediterranean Sea: Temperate and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth range from Isles of Scilly record (Ref. 1442); to be replaced with a better reference. Found on Laminaria holdfast, rocks and coarse sand (Ref. 1442). This is a suspension feeder (Ref. 3477).
