Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from Eastern Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to southern Japan and south to New South Wales.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occasionally collected for food by coastal populations (Ref. 348).
