Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean: USA to the Caribbean and Brazil in Western Atlantic and Senegal and Congo in Eastern Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This is an epipelagic species found in the water column (Ref. 83922). Feeds on mangrove leaf detritus (Ref. 67428). Adults are carnivorous. However, omnivory is possible with their feeding appendages. (Ref. 111602).
