Family:  Flustridae ()
Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 1 - 200 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific, Arctic, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean: from Japan south to New Zealand, northeast to Tunisia and Svalbard. Temperate to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in shallow waters of less than 50 m to depths of 200m, in areas of silt to fine sand (Ref. 96391). Sessile (Ref. 3123).
