Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Colony: massive, commonly over 1 m across. Corallites: deep, angular, with very thick walls. Septa: equal, uniform, not exsert, finely toothed. Paliform lobes often present. Color: walls always uniform amber with cream or white oral discs (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Found in most reef environments (Ref. 848).
