Family:  Lucinidae (lucinas)
Max. size:  3.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 50 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa, including Madagascar and the Red Sea to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and Hawaii, and south to New South Wales. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found from immediate subtidal to 30 m in shelly sand; dead specimens to 45 m (Ref. 337). Feeds on detritus (Ref. 100890).
