Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range 12 - 200 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific and Atlantic Ocean. From Salish Sea, south to Chile, north to Barents Sea and Baltic Sea, Subtropical to temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 121233. Neritic (Ref.121233). Gelatinous predator in pelagic ecosystems (Ref. 121233). Feeds on Pleurobranchia, Bolinopsis and siphonophores; found in dense swarms at the surface and a fast swimmer (Ref. 2376).
