Remarks Dominates micronektonic fauna in nearshore waters. Adults are found inshore during the first half of the year, then migrate offshore the second half of the year (Ref. 106931). Voracious omnivore (Ref. 114809). Feeds readily on fish in aquaria. Feeds on copepods. Pelagic phase feeds on phytoplankton and zooplankton via filter feeding (Ref. 113929).
